From 27 January to 17 February 2026, a series of online lectures entitled Global Classroom was held, dedicated to the topic of artificial intelligence and its increasing impact on human rights. The lectures were organized through cooperation between the Europa-Institut and the SEELS network. The Europa-Institut at Saarland University in Saarbrücken, founded in 1951, operates as a postgraduate institution specializing in European and international law. On the other hand, the SEELS network brings together 13 law schools from Southeast European countries with the aim of improving legal education and scientific research. The cooperation was achieved within the framework of the project “Human Rights and Technology: Bridging the Gap with AI Applications (HARTech)”, which is implemented with the financial support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
